1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Platform:
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and handle when you create an account.
- OAuth Profile Data: If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google, GitHub), we receive your name, email, and profile picture as provided by that service.
- Payment Information: Payment details (credit card number, billing address) are collected and processed directly by Stripe. Pooper.ai does not store your full card number. We receive a tokenized reference and transaction confirmation from Stripe.
- Commitment Data: Your project name, description, deadline, stake amount, and anti-charity selection.
- Submission Data: Live URLs and GitHub repository links submitted for verification.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Account Management: To create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, and manage your commitments.
- Payment Processing: To process stakes, refunds, and anti-charity donations through Stripe.
- Email Notifications: To send commitment confirmations, deadline reminders, verification results, and donation receipts. We do not send marketing emails.
- Platform Operation: To display shipped products and floater entries on public pages, generate aggregate statistics, and maintain the integrity of the commitment system.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe collects and processes payment information under its own Privacy Policy.
- Amazon SES — Transactional email delivery. Amazon SES processes your email address to deliver notifications on our behalf.
- OAuth Providers (Google, GitHub, etc.) — Authentication. These providers share your basic profile information with us when you choose to sign in through them.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Public Information
Pooper.ai is built around public accountability. The following information is publicly visible by design:
- Wall of Shippers: Your display name, project name, project description, stake amount, build time, and live URL.
- The Floaters: Your display name, project name, stake amount, and the anti-charity that received your donation.
This public display is a core feature of the Platform. You are encouraged to use a pseudonym if you prefer not to be identified by your real name. Public entries are intended to be permanent.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:
- Your private account data (email, OAuth tokens) will be deleted within 30 days.
- Public commitment records (shipped products and floater entries) are retained permanently as part of the Platform's public record.
- Payment records are retained as required by applicable financial regulations and Stripe's data retention policies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated private data (subject to the retention policies above).

7. Cookies
Pooper.ai uses session cookies for authentication purposes only. These cookies identify your logged-in session and expire when you log out or after a reasonable inactivity period.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
